Strictly Come Dancing 2017: The Rumoured Line-up

We know we’re getting ahead of ourselves here, but it’s hard not to look forward (we mean, really, really look forward) to the start of Strictly Come Dancing 2017!

Everyone here at PaySubsOnline loves the show. We provide dance admin software for many organisations, and we know this is a perennial favourite with so many clubs. How could it not be? The show has been entertaining, amusing and educating people for some years now – and it’s done no small advertising job for the benefits of dance. Face it, how many people have signed up to join a dance club or organisation every year, thanks to the encouragement of Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman (Shirley Ballas replaces him this year), Bruno Tonioli and even the dastardly Craig Revel Horwood…

There are always all sorts of rumours about who might be joining the show in a particular year. Unlike a lot of other celebrity reality TV shows, you will have heard of the Strictly Come Dancing contestants. When you watch the show, it feels like the audience goes on the journey with the contestants – from clumsy, awkward non-dancer to someone who is graceful and accomplished.

Some of the names put forward for 2017 include The Only Way is Essex star Lydia Bright, and former X Factor and now successful TV presenter, Rylan Clark Neal, who will dazzle us all with his teeth, if nothing else. Matt Goss was confirmed by The Sun as one of the 2017 dancers-to-be.

Wayne Bridge, the footballer, might also be in there – fitting, as his wife Frankie of the girl group The Saturdays did the show in 2014 and was a runner-up.

Another rumour is that Dame Joan Collins has been in talks with the BBC about going on the show. Please let this be true. The good dame may well be in her 80s (and if she did go on the show, she’d the oldest contestant), but apparently, she can still do the splits. We can think of no-one better we’d like to see on Strictly Come Dancing. Can you imagine what she would say to Craig Revel Horwood if he tried out any of his usual caustic comments?! Bring it on…

As we stated, Strictly Come Dancing has been responsible for a surge in the numbers of people wanting to learn to dance. Dance clubs around the country usually see an increase in membership inquiries once the show is on, and particularly in January when people think about a fun way to keep fit, while also learning a new skill at the same time.

And that’s where PaySubsOnline comes in. We specialise in sports and membership admin software. It takes massive amounts of time and effort to run a dance club, so the easiest way to do it is to use something that will take away the administrative burden of running a club. Our software is free for clubs that have less than 2,000 members.

How it works is that a small fee is deducted every time someone pays online – and you will more than make up for this in increased and retained members. We can also help you with fundraising for your club. Perhaps you’ll be able to organise a trip for your dance club members where they go to see the live events when the show tours in January?

Why not prepare for the advent of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 with the dance admin software that will allow you to make the most of the interest in dancing that inevitably results? Give us a call on +44 (0)1892 771 276 to find out more about how we can help you maximise your memberships.

The 15th series of Strictly Come Dancing starts on BBC One in September.
